Magneto Kicktail Cruiser Longboard
No products found.
The Magneto Kicktail Cruiser Longboard is one of the best longboards under 100 dollars.
The deck, which is solid and stiff, is made of 7 plies of maple and bamboo veneer layer on the top and measures 44″ x9″ with a 27″ wheelbase. The trucks are made from 7″ tumbled aluminum finish that is strong, durable and great for gliding.
The wheels, which are 70mm 78a polyurethane, are super soft, which means it has an extra grip for riding smoothly and easily over rough roads.
However, the wheels and the bearings aren’t the best quality, so I recommend replacing them after a while. I also recommend loosening the wheels before you start to skate.
If you are looking for new wheels check out the best longboard wheels to help you find the best wheels for you.
Magneto is one of the best skateboard companies, and it is made by skaters in Southern California. The Magneto longboard is made for cruising, pumping and skating around town; however, it is versatile, and the kicktails make this board functional for all sorts of riding styles.
What makes it one of the best longboards under 100?
The deck is concave and has a good grip. Instead of grip tape, there is a layer of sand grit on the top layer, meaning you won’t need to replace grip tape in the future.
The deck is stable and is stiff but has a good amount of flex, making it easy and safe to ride. However, the deck is pretty tall, so that you may get leg fatigue.
The Magneto Kicktail Longboard is a great starter board and is excellent for learning to cruise. The trucks are decent but seem a little off center.
The bushings have a medium stiffness which is ideal for cruising. The deck is pretty fast, and the board rolls smoothly without speed wobbles at higher speeds.
The weight limit is 275, but the heavier you are, the board sounds like it is cracking when making sharp right turns.
What We Like
- Great starter board
- Great value for money
- Perfect for cruising
- Versatile
- Board rolls smooth
What We Don’t Like
- Wheels are not high quality
- Low quality bearings

The board is durable and lightweight. The wheels are 70mm polyurethane with ABEC 9 chrome steel bearings, super soft 95a bushings and sturdy and strong 7′ aluminum alloy trucks.
However, the trucks are small, so they cause wheel bite, so I recommend changing the trucks out. Find the best longboard trucks here to find better trucks for this longboard. The deck is thick with its 9 ply Canadian maple wood measuring 41.25″ x9″. It has a lot of control, stability and is super sturdy.
The drop-down deck is low to the ground, so you have a lower center of gravity, increasing maneuverability as the foot platform sits lower than the trucks.
The Yocaher longboard is wide and very comfortable with a curved drop down between the nose and the tail, which gives you lots of control and stability.
The wheels are Q-Ball 70mmx52mm 78a wheels which ride smoothly. The bearings are chrome ABEC 7, which don’t spin well, so oil them up so they turn for a longer period of time.
The trucks are aluminum alloy heavy duty HD7 180mm hangers which are top mounted with cutouts around the nose to prevent wheel bite. Unfortunately, the trucks are stiff, so I recommend loosening them before riding them.
