The wheels offer a smooth and pleasant ride while effortlessly riding over rocks and cracks.

The grip tape is excellent, and the deck has incredible graphics. Before riding, be sure to tune the longboard, adjust the tension of the fasteners and wax the pivot cups.

I have a post about the best skate tool if you prefer a Y-Shaped Tool.

Sometimes the longboard squeaks but waxing the pivot cups will fix the noise. Also, you will get a free T-Tool with this longboard, so adjusting everything will be easy.

I highly recommend the M Merkapa longboard if you are a beginner. The deck feels good and is solid while having the perfect amount of flex. However, if you want a high-quality board at a fantastic price, you should try the M Merkapa longboard cruiser.

Magneto Kicktail Cruiser Longboard

No products found.

The Magneto Kicktail Cruiser Longboard is one of the best longboards under 100 dollars.

The deck, which is solid and stiff, is made of 7 plies of maple and bamboo veneer layer on the top and measures 44″ x9″ with a 27″ wheelbase. The trucks are made from 7″ tumbled aluminum finish that is strong, durable and great for gliding.

The wheels, which are 70mm 78a polyurethane, are super soft, which means it has an extra grip for riding smoothly and easily over rough roads.

However, the wheels and the bearings aren’t the best quality, so I recommend replacing them after a while. I also recommend loosening the wheels before you start to skate.

If you are looking for new wheels check out the best longboard wheels to help you find the best wheels for you.

Magneto is one of the best skateboard companies, and it is made by skaters in Southern California. The Magneto longboard is made for cruising, pumping and skating around town; however, it is versatile, and the kicktails make this board functional for all sorts of riding styles.

What makes it one of the best longboards under 100?

The deck is concave and has a good grip. Instead of grip tape, there is a layer of sand grit on the top layer, meaning you won’t need to replace grip tape in the future.

The deck is stable and is stiff but has a good amount of flex, making it easy and safe to ride. However, the deck is pretty tall, so that you may get leg fatigue.

The Magneto Kicktail Longboard is a great starter board and is excellent for learning to cruise. The trucks are decent but seem a little off center.

The bushings have a medium stiffness which is ideal for cruising. The deck is pretty fast, and the board rolls smoothly without speed wobbles at higher speeds.

The weight limit is 275, but the heavier you are, the board sounds like it is cracking when making sharp right turns.

What We Like

  • Great starter board
  • Great value for money
  • Perfect for cruising
  • Versatile
  • Board rolls smooth

What We Don’t Like

  • Wheels are not high quality
  • Low quality bearings

The Magneto Pintail Longboard has a clean, classic pintail design that is surf-inspired and one of the best longboards under 100 dollars.

The deck is a swallow shape with a swallowtail, generally on shorter boards which makes the Magneto longboard have excellent control and are great for carving and shredding.

The Pintail Longboard has clear sand grit on the deck, which provides excellent traction. The deck is 40″ x9.25″ dark stained maple with gravity cast aluminum trucks.

The wheels are high quality 70mm 78a which are soft and grippy, which is ideal for a smooth ride for cruising on all surfaces. In addition, the wheels absorb tons of impact and are fitted with ABEC 5 bearings.

This longboard is fantastic for beginners or seasoned riders. It is a quality board that has a mini surfboard vibe.

You can get the deck in three different shapes – the classic surfboard shape, the swallow shape, which has a swallow tail or the stinger, which is good for carving hard. One great feature is that the Magneto boards do not get wheel bite when turning – it is the perfect shape.

The Magneto Pintail Longboard is such a great board at such a great price. Although it is one of the best longboards for under $100, it comes with a free skate tool. Just note this longboard is not built for tricks – it is solely made for cruising.

The drop through camber deck has good flex and shock absorption. It is an excellent solid board for downhill, speed and freestyle riding. It is similar to a standard drop through longboard but with a tighter turning radius. The Slendor longboard carves well, and it is excellent value for the money.

The deck is 41″ x9.5″ 8 plies cold press natural maple and an anti-slip brushed black surface. The wheels are 70mmx51mm 80a polyurethane with ABEC 11 high-speed bearings. The 7″ aluminum trucks and 95a bushings are responsive with a wide turning radius.

The deck is flexy and concave but not super sturdy and is prone to wheel bite. It is easy to push and great to ride on flat streets, but if you plan to ride downhill, be aware that the board wobbles at high speeds.

However, it glides with minimum effort, is super easy to push, and is very quiet.

The board is durable and lightweight. The wheels are 70mm polyurethane with ABEC 9 chrome steel bearings, super soft 95a bushings and sturdy and strong 7′ aluminum alloy trucks.

However, the trucks are small, so they cause wheel bite, so I recommend changing the trucks out. Find the best longboard trucks here to find better trucks for this longboard. If you can’t switch out the trucks, tighten them to help prevent wheel bite, but it makes carving with this board more complex.

The Fish Skateboards longboard is durable, stable, easy to kick, and easy to learn how to longboard. Soft wheels soak up bumps.

  • Deck: 9-Ply Canadian Maple
  • Wheels: 70x52 mm , 78A Hardness
  • Trucks: 9.675" HD7 Heavy Duty Trucks, 175mm Hanger, Aluminum Alloy

The Yocaher Professional Speed Drop Down Complete Longboard is a cost-efficient longboard perfect for learning to dance, lean, weave and slide.

The deck is thick with its 9 ply Canadian maple wood measuring 41.25″ x9″. It has a lot of control, stability and is super sturdy.

The drop-down deck is low to the ground, so you have a lower center of gravity, increasing maneuverability as the foot platform sits lower than the trucks.

The Yocaher longboard is wide and very comfortable with a curved drop down between the nose and the tail, which gives you lots of control and stability.

The wheels are Q-Ball 70mmx52mm 78a wheels which ride smoothly. The bearings are chrome ABEC 7, which don’t spin well, so oil them up so they turn for a longer period of time.

The trucks are aluminum alloy heavy duty HD7 180mm hangers which are top mounted with cutouts around the nose to prevent wheel bite. Unfortunately, the trucks are stiff, so I recommend loosening them before riding them.

The deck carves well, with no flex, meaning you can achieve high speeds, perfect for downhill riding. It doesn’t wobble at high speeds, so it’s ideal for bombing hills.

If you want to cruise and carve and gain decent speed going downhill. The Atom Drop Deck longboard is excellent for beginners as the trucks are stable but do not turn super sharp, and it is effortless to balance on. If you want a smoother turn, I recommend loosening the trucks.

Two downfalls of the Atom Drop Deck longboard are the grip tape peels off easily and is prone to bubbles, and the longboard is kind of noisy.

What We Like

The Rorshack feels more like a skateboard as it is smaller. It is the perfect length for those looking to transition from skateboarding to longboarding.

This longboard is lightweight, portable and fits really well in the best skateboard backpack.

Quests Rorshack has a longboard feel and functions like a longboard, but it’s lightweight and portable, and the kicktail makes it easy to make quick turns, do simple tricks, and pop it up to grab. The deck has a stiff concave, is stable, rigid, strong and doesn’t have a lot of flex.

The Rorshack turns well, but it doesn’t go far with a single push. The trucks aren’t great, so I suggest buying new trucks. They are prone to squeaking, so you should wax them. I recommend changing the bearings or oiling them up.

This longboard is fun to ride and great for riding around town. However, it doesn’t come ready to ride out of the box, so you should tighten and loosen several things before taking it out on its first ride.
